Activity log
What the Vite Wholesale activity log records, when each event is written, and where you can see recent wholesale activity.
Vite Wholesale keeps a log of important wholesale events, such as applications, badge changes and paid wholesale orders. Each event is written at the moment it happens, so the history stays accurate even if a customer's status changes later.
The log is built into the free plugin and runs automatically. There's nothing to set up or turn on.
What gets recorded
| Event | When it's logged |
|---|---|
| Application submitted | A customer submits the wholesale application form |
| Application approved | You click Approve on an application |
| Application rejected | You reject an application with a reason |
| Badge assigned | A customer receives a badge, whether through approval, manual assignment on the Customers screen, or a badge upgrade |
| Wholesale order paid | An order placed by a wholesale customer moves into a paid status, such as Processing or Completed |
Each entry records which customer the event is about and when it happened. Some events store extra details:
- Badge assigned keeps the badge's name as it was at that moment. If the customer moved from one badge to another, it also keeps the previous badge's name, so the entry reads as a change, for example "from Silver to Gold". Re-assigning the same badge isn't shown as a change.
- Wholesale order paid keeps the order total.
How orders are counted
An order counts as a wholesale order if the customer was a wholesale customer when they placed it. Vite Wholesale stores that on the order at checkout, so revoking the customer later doesn't change how their past orders are logged.
Each order is logged only once, the first time it reaches a paid status. An order that goes from Processing to Completed doesn't create a second entry.
Where to see the activity
The free plugin records the log but doesn't include a screen for browsing it.
Pro: In Pro, go to ViteWholesale → Reports. The Sales Overview page has a Recent Activity panel that shows the latest events from this log. Entries read like "New application submitted by John Doe", "Jane Smith's application was approved", "Alex Johnson was assigned the Gold badge" and "Sam Wilson completed an order", each with a time such as "5m ago". See Reports.
Because the free plugin records events from day one, the Recent Activity panel already has history if you upgrade to Pro later.
Things to know
- No backfill. The log starts empty when the plugin is first activated. Applications, badges and orders from before that point don't appear.
- Not everything is logged. Changes to pricing rules or badge settings, deleted applications, and turning off a customer's Wholesale Status on the Customers screen aren't recorded as events.
- No retention limit. Entries aren't pruned automatically.
- Who did it isn't stored. Each entry records who the event is about, not which admin performed it.
