Storefront pricing
How wholesale prices appear to customers on product pages, in the cart, at checkout and on orders, including WooCommerce Blocks.
Once a customer holds a badge, Vite Wholesale reprices your store for them automatically. There is nothing to add to your theme, and no shortcodes or blocks to place.
Who sees wholesale prices
A customer sees wholesale prices only when all of these are true:
- They're logged in.
- They hold a badge, and that badge is Active.
- The badge includes at least one active pricing rule that matches the product.
Logged-out visitors, retail customers and customers without a badge see your normal WooCommerce prices.
Shop and product pages
On shop listings and single product pages, the normal price stays in place and a wholesale hint appears under it:
- "Wholesale price: $16.00 each" when the wholesale price applies from a quantity of 1
- "Buy 5 or more for $16.00 each (wholesale price)" when a rule needs a minimum quantity
The hint shows the quantity that unlocks the wholesale price and the price the customer pays at that quantity. It doesn't appear on products that no rule covers.
Cart and checkout
When the customer adds items, each cart line is repriced based on its actual quantity and the rest of the cart:
- The unit price shows the regular price struck through, followed by the wholesale price and a Wholesale Price: $16.00 note.
- The line subtotal shows the regular subtotal struck through, the wholesale subtotal, and "You save $20.00 (wholesale price)".
Change the quantity and prices update immediately. If the customer drops below a rule's Min qty, that line goes back to the normal price.
The "You save" note appears in classic cart templates. The WooCommerce Cart, Checkout and Mini Cart blocks show the Wholesale Price note next to each line's subtotal. This includes a Mini Cart block that opens on any page of your site.
Orders
Customers pay the wholesale price they saw at checkout, and the order stores those line prices. Vite Wholesale also records on each order whether the customer was a wholesale customer when they placed it. Later changes to that customer's status don't change past orders.
Settings that change storefront behavior
These options live under ViteWholesale → Settings. See Settings.

Limits and gotchas
- Products without a regular price are never repriced. This protects products such as name-your-price items, subscriptions and bundles from being set to $0.00.
- No matching rule means normal pricing. If no rule matches a product, the customer pays WooCommerce's normal price (the sale price if there is one), whatever the Base Price setting says. A wholesale customer never pays more than a retail customer just because no rule applies.
- Product-page hints ignore the cart. Some rules depend on other items in the cart, such as groups that combine two categories. Those discounts appear only in the cart, not as a product-page hint. Groups that use Not equal to never show a hint.
- Variations are matched by their parent product and its categories.
Pro: Approved customers can also order from a dedicated Wholesale Shop page. If you use Vitepos, wholesale prices can apply in the Vitepos order panel too.
