Vitepos integration

Use your wholesale prices in the Vitepos order panel. Select a wholesale customer and every product added to the cart gets their wholesale price.

If you also sell in person with Vitepos, Vite Wholesale Pro brings your wholesale pricing into the Vitepos order panel. When the cashier selects a wholesale customer, every product added to the cart gets that customer's wholesale price.

Note: Vitepos is optional. Vite Wholesale works on any WooCommerce store without it. You only need this page if you already use Vitepos. Vitepos support requires Vite Wholesale Pro.

Requirements

  • Vite Wholesale Pro: installed and active, along with the free Vite Wholesale plugin.
  • Vitepos: installed and active on the same WordPress site.
  • Store mode: Vitepos running in its standard store mode. The integration doesn't load in the Vitepos restaurant modes.

Turn on the integration

  1. Go to ViteWholesale → Settings → General Settings.
  2. Turn on Vitepos Integration.
  3. Click Save Settings.

Once the integration is on, two more options appear:

Setting What it does
Disable Discount Button Hides the discount button in the Vitepos order panel, so cashiers can't add an extra discount on top of wholesale prices.
Disable Fee Button Hides the fee button in the Vitepos order panel, so cashiers can't add fees to a wholesale sale.

Both are off by default. They only take effect while the cart contains items at a wholesale price. For a regular customer, the buttons work as normal.

Tip: The Disable Coupon setting on the same tab also applies in Vitepos. When it's on, the coupon button is hidden while wholesale prices are in the cart.

Reload the Vitepos order panel after changing these settings so it picks up the new configuration.

How it works in the order panel

  1. In the Vitepos order panel, the cashier selects a customer, for example John Doe.
  2. If John is a wholesale customer, each product added to the cart is priced by the pricing rules of his badge.
  3. The prices update as the cart changes. For example, a minimum-quantity discount kicks in once the cashier raises the quantity far enough.
  4. If the cashier switches to a customer who isn't wholesale, or removes the customer, the cart goes back to normal prices.

Wholesale prices in the order panel follow the same setup as your online store:

  • Rules: the customer's badge must be active, and only the active pricing rules assigned to it apply. See Customer badges and Pricing rules.
  • Conditions: product, category and minimum-quantity conditions work as they do online.
  • Rule Settings: your Rule Priority Strategy, Base Price and Enable Cost Protection choices under ViteWholesale → Settings → Rule Settings apply here too. See Settings.

Who counts as a wholesale customer

A customer gets wholesale prices in Vitepos when they are an approved wholesale customer with a badge. That is the same customer who sees wholesale prices when logged in to your store. Customers without wholesale status pay your normal prices.

To give an in-store buyer wholesale pricing, approve their application or assign them a badge from ViteWholesale → Customers. See Managing customers.

Troubleshooting

  • The integration setting is missing or locked: make sure Vite Wholesale Pro is active. Settings marked Pro can't be changed without it.
  • Wholesale prices don't appear:
    • Check that Vitepos Integration is on.
    • Check that Vitepos is in its standard store mode.
    • Check that the selected customer has an active badge with active pricing rules.
  • Only some products get a wholesale price: a product is only discounted when one of the badge's rules matches it, including any minimum quantity.
