Email templates

Edit the wholesale emails Vite Wholesale Pro sends for applications, quotes and badge upgrades, using placeholders for names and site details.

Vite Wholesale Pro sends emails when key wholesale events happen, such as a new application, a quote offer or a badge upgrade. Each email has an editable template, so you can match your store's tone and branding.

Turn on email notifications

Wholesale emails are off by default.

  1. Go to ViteWholesale → Settings → General Settings.
  2. Turn on Enable Email Notification.
  3. Click Save Settings.

While this setting is off, no wholesale emails are sent, even if a template is active.

The default templates

Go to ViteWholesale → Email Templates. Pro comes with these templates, grouped by Application, Quote and Badge:

Template Group Sent to Sent when
Application Submitted Application Store admin A customer submits a wholesale application
Application Approved Application Customer You approve their application
Application Rejected Application Customer You reject their application
Quote Requested Quote Store admin A customer submits a quote request
Quote Offer Sent Quote Customer You send an offer with Make Offer
Quote Accepted Quote Store admin A customer accepts an offer
Quote Rejected Quote Store admin or customer A customer rejects a quote or offer (sent to you), or you reject a quote (sent to the customer)
Badge Upgraded Badge Customer A customer is upgraded to a higher badge

"Store admin" means the Administration Email Address set in Settings → General in WordPress.

Edit a template

  1. In the Email Templates list, click Edit on a template.
  2. Change the Subject.
  3. Change the Content in the editor. It supports formatting such as bold text and links.
  4. To add a placeholder, click it in the Available Placeholders panel to insert it into the content, or use its copy button.
  5. Use the Active toggle to turn this email on or off.
  6. Click Save Changes.

You can also turn a template on or off from the Status column in the list without opening it.

Placeholders

Placeholders are replaced with real values when the email is sent. Type them exactly as shown, including the double curly braces.

Placeholder Replaced with Available in
{{customer_name}} The customer's display name, such as John Doe All templates
{{site_name}} Your site title All templates
{{customer_email}} The customer's email, such as jane@example.com Application Submitted, Quote Requested
{{site_url}} Your site's home page address All templates
{{reject_reason}} The reason you entered when rejecting Application Rejected
{{note}} The note added with the action, or nothing if there was none Quote Offer Sent, Quote Accepted, Quote Rejected
{{badge_title}} The name of the customer's new badge Badge Upgraded

Each template's Available Placeholders panel lists the placeholders meant for that template. If you use a placeholder in a template it doesn't belong to, it stays in the email as plain text.

Good to know

  • Quote Rejected is shared. The same template is used whether the customer or you did the rejecting, so it can reach either side. The default wording is written for the store admin. If customers will receive it, rewrite it so it reads well for both.
  • Email format: emails are sent as HTML through your site's normal WordPress mail setup, with a plain-text version included. If emails don't arrive, check your site's mail delivery, for example with an SMTP plugin.
  • Fixed events: you can edit the existing templates and turn them on or off, but you can't add templates for other events.
  • Free-only stores: without Pro, the free plugin sends none of these emails.
